i agree with your points. we are trying to raise our little ones with these in mind and i hope we are doing an ok job of it.

ps. i love the sweater you knit below, could you tell me what kind of yarn you used? the colour is beautiful.

Thanks for the list and your beautiful blog. I especially like #2, I can’t tell you how many skills I have picked up from the people around me- learning how to sew, garden, change my own oil, etc. This is also why it is important that we stop segregating ourselves by age– we need to learn from one another!

The cohousing model is key! It was created 40 years ago after a famous article called “every child should have 100 parents”. Of course it stressed the social advantages of the cohousing, but more recently built cohousings are much greener than before and this clearly affects the new generations.
